Hello! My name is Michael Ketigian. I’m a poet who studied engineering, now working at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and technology under a core conviction: stories shape reality.

This work takes several forms:

I moved to Lisbon in 2023 to pursue my dream of becoming a European citizen, and to reside in a beautiful place that prioritizes balance. I also spend time in NY and SF.

What’s in a name?
I adopted the moniker inverse K to alleviate the frustration of my name being mispronounced by event hosts (it’s keh-TEE-jee-in). It started as a symbol [ > I ] — an adapted mathematical inequality. Just as 3 > 2, it’s a reminder to focus on that which is greater than 1, greater than I — that life is not about the self, but the community. It also resembles an inverted letter K, and conveniently: verse is poetry, and my surname begins with K. So there you have it.
