Hello! My name is Michael Ketigian. I’m a poet who studied engineering, now working at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and technology under a core conviction: stories shape reality.

My work takes two main forms

• Creative Storytelling that demystifies topics affecting people and planet

  • currently exploring multimedia storytelling with generative AI (in progress)

I moved to Lisbon in 2023 to pursue European citizenship and prioritize balance. I also spend time in NY, SF, LA, and other international hubs.

What’s in a name?
I adopted the moniker inverse K to alleviate the frustration of my name being mispronounced by event hosts. (It’s keh-TEE-jee-in.) It started as a symbol [ > I ] — an adapted mathematical inequality. Just as 3 > 2, it’s a reminder to focus on that which is greater than 1, greater than I — that life is not about the self, but the community. It also resembles an inverted letter K, and conveniently: verse is poetry, and my surname begins with K. So there you have it.
