I sometimes perform a piece that summarizes an event or conference in the form of a Rap Up: a versified distillation of the themes, details, and ethos of the event shared at its closing. I opened for Bill Nye with this piece to a full house in Notre Dame's thousand-person theater, summarizing their IdeaWeek festival.

This is the first of three new pieces composed for the third annual Global Festival of Action in Bonn, Germany. I was tasked with creating a rallying cry to explore what's at stake (basically: why the SDGs / Global Goals exist), and ultimately set the stage for the three-day event by highlighting the fact that we can only focus on so much as individuals - that only together, as a collective, can we achieve the seemingly impossible task before us.
